Updating Profile: adding phonetic spellings to help others pronounce your name

Competitors may enter their own pronunciation guide to help Awards Emcees pronounce their names. The ability for coaches to enter phonetic spellings for their students has been in place for many years. Now, students can enter their own pronunciation guides if their coach has not done so already.

Those who wish to add a pronunciation guide should log in to Tabroom.com and click on Profile at the top. There is a button in the middle of the Profle to “Edit Names”. Competitors will see a text box to enter a phonetic spelling next to the student name (e.g., greg mal-iss). If a student is affiliated with multiple institutions, they should add this to all of their contestant records on various rosters (see below).

The pronunciation guide will appear whenever the tournament staff prints an awards script.
